		<description>Yes, though the major food companies and dairies have been a major contributor of global warming, petty consumers like us have also played a part. But there appears to be a paradox here; we need meat, we need food but according to the FAO of UN, meat contributes to the degradation of the environment. So the way out would be to keep on existing but judicioulsy use our resources and perhaps rely more on eco friendly agriculture.</description>

		<description>I recommend the book &quot;Animal, Vegetable, Miracle&quot; by Barbara Kingsolver - she chronicles her family&#039;s quest to grow their own food and/or eat locally grown exclusively for one year.  I learned a lot, but more importantly, it really raised my awareness of the local food movement.  I can&#039;t wait for my local farmer&#039;s market to open in a couple of weeks!
