Yeah, not seeing the BIG difference these have over other cookies - slightly better but not "healthy". I'd replace the oil with applesauce, or with a banana can even leave out the egg. I'd add Milled Flax seed and Hazelnut flour for added nutrients. The ratios would all be different (not the same recipe), but I think I have a “healthier” cookie?

A heaping teaspoon means you use a regular spoon...not an actual measuring teaspoon.

I've been having a craving to make some choc chip cookies. This recipe sounds really good, I never thought of grinding up the oatmeal... it'll be hard to eat just one!

I haven't tried to make these cookies, but I'll note that they have about 15 more calories per heaping teaspoon full than the bagged Betty Crocker mix. I think the only thing "healthy" about these cookies is the size and maybe a minute amount of extra fiber from the whole wheat flour and rolled oats.

These cookies taste fantastic! But guaranteed NO ONE is making TEASPOON sized cookies and so most peoples results are going to be greater than 100 calories per cookie. Tasty though!

Under a hundred calories is pretty good! But what are other choc chip cookies like in calories. Like a Subway cookie, or chips-a-hoy? How high are those? Just in comparison?

I think there is hardly a person who does not like chocolate chip cookies. They taste so good and are handy. But you made an important note - "antioxidant dose". This ingredient helps the body dispose of toxins.
