I've been taking 2 OS-CAL 600mg + D as well as getting out in the sun everyday and doing some seriously heavy gardening work. Seems to work.

This is a good article. The best way to take calcium, vitamin d, and magnesium is in a powder form mixed with a precise amount of water. It is an isotonic formula so when you drink the liquid mixed with the powder your body thinks it is the same as your blood sweat or tears. When our digestive system senses it does not need processing in the stomach it sends it to the small intestine within 5 to 10 minutes where it is 90% absorbed. Most pills or capsules only provide 30% to 40% absorption. I have not found this product in any store. You can get it from a Market America distirbutor. It has kept my bones from going into osteoporosis!

I've been using the HSN -Andrew Lessman Calcium w/Magnesium and Vit D3. They're super easy to swallow capsules, cause no upsets and I have a queasy stomach and these have been great. I've tried every pill and chew out there and these are the easiest to swallow compared to those huge chalky rock-hard tablets in the dept stores. Try them!

that note about our bodies only absorbing 500 mg at a time was news to me - i have to go back and look at mine now to see - it might be a 1000 mg pill i'm taking and might start cutting them in half. this was a lot of good information. i feel better about the other supplements i take too. i take selenium so i'm relieved to know that my calcium citrate is not interfering. thanks!!

Instead of supplements, I like to look for fortified foods. A lot of bars these days have added calcium, iron, and other vitamins the manufacturers fortify them with. They're often tastier and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth more
