Quick Tip: Taste the Rainbow


Embrace variety! Sure, everyone has their favorite foods, but eating the same thing all the time increases your chance of missing out on many nutrients not found in your usual choices.

To mix it up, try eating a different fruit or vegetable every day of the week. Look for something new or exotic at the supermarket — be adventurous! And remember: the more color, the better (but this doesn’t included any neon-colored sodas and candies). Bright red, yellow and orange foods are rich in beta carotene, and dark green and purple foods are generally high in antioxidants, calcium and minerals.

You want crazy? Don't turn up your nose before trying this - baked potato w/ ketchup. It's like french fries, but without the fat! I never use butter or sour cream anymore. Bring on the ketchup!
